Nice!

I love the guitar in this!! And that synth is crazy! I love it! You've got some really unique stuff here! I'm diggin this! Your drums are a little fakey, try slapping a bit of reverb on them and maybe killing the volume on the hats a little. Great loop!

Thanx for the review! u really like ma stuff huh? Im always makin more so ask me if u want a song! Just tell me type, instruments, and whatev u want in it! This was a remix of my friends. Thanx again tho!

Wow.

This is very good! The sounds are excellently balanced and everything sounds great! I iwsh there was more of a melody to mit, but it has enough on its own and I love it! Great loop! This is so good! Love itr! I could swear this is a professional loop!

CampinCarl8686 responds:

to be honest some of the stuff on here is my friends loops. im kind of a mixer and i write good endings for songs but i had to totally redo it for it to be put on ng! thanx for the review!

Sweet!

This is great! This is very fun to listen too! Great job! Lots of variation of the melody and it never gets boring. Piano is kind of loud and feels out of place. The synths are a little too weak (I think they just need more mid frequencies boosted). Great song! I love this one! I wish there were lyrics for this because this is just aching for some!! Great job!

cornandbeans responds:

I'm following my little genre routine... I have yet to make a decent sounding techno track without a classical instrument. :P Lyrics would be nice, I should surf around for a singer! (do you sing? :P)

Sounds like VNV Nation

Dude this sounds like one of my favorite bands of all time! VNV Nation sounds exactly like this, except with a slightly harder edge! I love this! but there's a few problems. Your synths lack emotion, try to change up velocities and automate the volumes on whole notes so they swell and sink. Overall, great attempt. Now I gotta go listen to some VNV Nation!!

cornandbeans responds:

I'll have to check them out. :) my goal here was to create a simple sounding synth low on mids, but I'll try to use what you said in another creation. Thanks for the review. :)

Good, but definitely not your best

This song is catchy, but its very repetitive. I for one, love the frequency shift. Great move there. But its is repetitive and the drums are horribly fake. Try some velocity changes to make them sound a little better. and maybe turn down the volume on the hats a bit.
Its got the classic cornandbeans energy to it, but it lacks the finesse and attention to detail that you usually have in your songs. This is definitely a work in progress. Nice start tho!

cornandbeans responds:

I added in a really low, distorted pad in the background, I don't know if you can pick it up or not. When one thing sounds distorted, It tends to make other things sound distored as well. I just got a really nice pack of drum samples, so I don't think that realism will be much of a problem anymore. :) Thanks for the review!

Good stuff!

I like the sub boom that starts. That's always a favorite effect of mine. I see what you are saying about drawing it out. This song is hella tight. Great orchestration! I love it. The guitar is a little plain for my taste, but it is recorded nicely and isn't over distorted. Very nice! Very well executed. A little quiet and lacking some bass presence, which really subtracts from this mix.

Overall grade A job!

Nice remix! Bad recording...:(

This has some really nice ideas in it and would sound absolutely amazing with a real string orchestra! Awesome arrangement ideas! I love it BUT...

WTF is up with this isong? The volume jumps around like crazy and all kinds of crap. Either your bounce or encoding is messed up because this really kills the piece.

May I suggest you collab with me and we can put out a new version with better strings and a cleaner recording?

The arrangement here is very creative! I love it! It just needs to sound better. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you're interested in fixing this up!

Nice laid back chiller.

Anoher cool laid back piece. This is the kind of thing that I would listen to while cruising in my car! Great stuff! The pads or w/e they are that fade in sound kind of lo-fi. Did you bitcrush them on purpose?

Overall, very nice. Definitely movie-worthy. Thats cool enough in its own right.

DJCityScape responds:

i had fun with the bitcrushing of the strings.

Very nice!!

I actually heard this yesterday but forgot to leave a review for it! Great tune. Not excatly my style, but that doesn't mask the fact that this is very well done! I have a few suggestions. The backing synths sound kind of muffled, try to get a little more treble and/or resonance on them. The lead is good. The drums could also use some more variation to create a bit of a climax in the piece. Overall, very good, but a few tweaks will make this AMAZING!

Great work. Keep it up!!

Father-of-Death responds:

thnx man you are my family now! lol jk

i love you...

Wow!!

I like this one a lot better than Stormy Seas. This is absolutely excellent! There were parts I could swear it was a real orchestra! This excellent! I really can't find anything with this one! I love it!

A+++

7/5 (if only I could vote like that)

DavidOrr responds:

Wow! I love this piece too (the original was A New Hero, but this one is much higher quality).

The only thing I regret is not running it through a compressor, the dynamics vary too much for it to be a piece you can easily listen to without having your finger on the volume control.

Thanks for the reviews! I'll have to pay your page another visit soon :).
